Iran summons UK envoy after PM Burnham hints Tehran link in Fairford ‘terror plot’

Iran’s foreign ministry expressed its discontent by summoning the British ambassador, following remarks made by UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham about Tehran’s alleged role in a recent incident at RAF Fairford. Iranian officials rebuffed these claims, suggesting they shifted focus from British military operations against Iran, particularly the US usage of UK bases. Meanwhile, five British men were initially detained over a suspected terror plot but were ultimately released.
