Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ was released on October 15 and generated impressive opening day earnings. The film collected Rs 59.70 cr net in India and Rs 70.25 cr gross from local shows. Its overall worldwide gross reached Rs 125.25 cr, including Rs 55 cr from international markets. The Tamil version of ‘Jailer 2’ contributed significantly to the box office performance with high occupancy rates.
