Jumping spider-inspired 3D camera uses under 1W power, may power robots and drones

Scientists have developed a new 3D camera, SpiderCam, inspired by jumping spiders’ vision. This low-power camera, using less than one watt, estimates depth by comparing image focus differences. It could enable battery-powered robots, drones, and wearable devices to understand their surroundings efficiently.
