Kolkata pandal stampede: Heavy rush amid rain led to deadly incident – top developments

A chaotic stampede unfolded at the Sarada Park Durga Puja pandal in north Kolkata due to a crowd surge, leading to at least 17 deaths and 15 injuries. Emergency services transported the injured to Calcutta Medical College and Hospital for immediate medical assistance. The West Bengal health minister, alongside other political leaders, responded by visiting the scene and the hospital.
