The Lucknow-Delhi Tejas Express will be known as the Sprite Tejas Express from August 20. Coca-Cola’s Sprite unit secured branding rights for the train’s name and coaches. This move aims to generate non-fare revenue for the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation. Other companies can also apply for branding on remaining coaches on a first-come basis. This initiative follows the railways’ exploration of private participation in train operations.
