A former cranberry farm in Plymouth, Massachusetts, has been transformed into a thriving freshwater wetland after restoration work began in 2010. The project restored 225 acres of wetland and more than three miles of stream habitat, removed dams and barriers, and brought back native plants and wildlife. Thousands of migratory fish, including alewife and blueback herring, returned to areas they had been unable to reach for more than 100 years.
