Mast broke, phone died, water ran out. Ship found him after 30 days

A California man survived thirty days adrift at sea after his sailboat lost its mast. Kai Sato was found nearly nine hundred miles from Hawaii by a container ship crew. He improvised repairs and collected condensation for water while surviving on limited food. The rescue operation took about an hour and a half to complete successfully. Sato expressed deep gratitude to the ship’s crew for saving his life.
