Meet Dina McCormick, whom Zuckerberg asked to trade her Meta board seat for a job

Born in Cairo, Egypt and raised in Texas, Dina Powell McCormick gave up her Meta board seat last December after Mark Zuckerberg asked her to take an operating job instead. Nine months on, the Goldman Sachs veteran and former deputy national security adviser is president, vice chairman and co-leader of Meta Compute, handling the company’s hardest legal, political and financial problems as its 2026 AI capex guidance climbs to as much as $145 billion.
