Microsoft’s firing of anti-Israel campus protesters legal, NLRB rules

Microsoft dismissed two employees for orchestrating an unsanctioned protest at their campus. According to the National Labor Relations Board, the demonstration did not present a tangible workplace issue. The protest organizers were unable to establish a direct connection to employment conditions. Citing an old petition failed to establish relevance. Consequently, the board determined the protest’s objectives did not align with activities protected for employees.
