MP becomes 1st state to reconstitute waqf board with two non-Muslims

Madhya Pradesh has made history by reconstituting its Wakf Board under the amended Wakf Act, 2025, becoming the first state to do so. Sanwar Patel now chairs the newly formed 10-member board, which notably includes two Hindu members. This move aligns with provisions of the Wakf Act, ensuring broader representation in the board’s functioning.
