Munir overrules Pak PM, to deploy more military assets to Riyadh under Mecca pact

Pakistan’s defence forces chief Asim Munir has confirmed plans to deploy additional troops to Saudi Arabia. This deployment comes despite the country’s parliament deciding against involvement in the Houthi conflict previously. The decision follows a recently signed Mecca defence pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
