Nations may agree to new target of electricity meeting 35% of global energy demand by 2035

Countries in climate change dialogues may agree to a new global target of electricity meeting 35% of world’s energy demand by 2035. Proposed by COP31 Presidency of Türkiye, the ’35×35′ goal aims to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to clean electricity, supporting the Paris Agreement and limiting global warming.
