NIA court convicts 10 in 2013 Jhiram Valley Maoist attack case

A special NIA court convicted all ten accused in the 2013 Jhiram Valley Maoist attack. This attack killed twenty-nine people, including senior Congress leaders, in Bastar district. The court reserved the quantum of punishment for September sixteenth. Statements from one hundred and one witnesses were recorded during the trial proceedings. Defence lawyers plan to appeal the verdict in a higher court.
