No district affected by Naxalism anymore: Ministry of home affairs

The number of Left-wing extremism-affected districts has fallen to zero by March 2026. This marks a significant reduction from 126 districts prior to April 2018. Maoist violence has seen a steep decline, with few incidents recorded this year. Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand remain the only states with reported Maoist incidents. However, 37 districts are still classified as legacy and thrust areas.
