No more guessing who’s calling! Govt mandates caller ID display from November 1

The Department of Telecommunications is preparing to roll out Calling Name Presentation, a feature that shows the caller’s name in addition to their number on the recipient’s screen. This functionality will first be implemented on 4G networks before extending to other versions. Users will have the choice to opt-out if they utilize the calling line identification restriction service, striking a balance between enhancing caller recognition and safeguarding data privacy.
