No more unknown calls! Govt mandates displaying names – here’s what changes from November 1

From November 1, telecom operators will implement Calling Name Presentation, changing how incoming calls are displayed. This new feature will show caller names for both saved and unsaved numbers, depending on subscriber details. International calls will be labeled as ‘International Call’ regardless of the user’s saved contacts. Businesses and users with bulk connections can register preferred names subject to verification requirements.
