‘No reason to make haste’: JD(U) takes cautious stand on UCC, says it will decide after studying Bill

Janata Dal (United) will study the Uniform Civil Code legislation before taking a stance. The party will consult its coalition partners in Bihar before making a decision. Bihar’s deputy chief minister stated they will not oppose the code without reason. Senior party leader Shyam Rajak had previously expressed opposition to implementing the UCC in Bihar.
