‘Nobody else should be allowed’: Gavaskar urges BCCI action over fresh IPL concern

Sunil Gavaskar criticised long IPL match durations, blaming frequent on-field entry of reserve players and staff for delays. Despite BCCI penalties, games often exceed four hours. He called such scenes “unnecessary” and urged stricter limits on field access. Gavaskar also stressed discipline, citing Richie Benaud, and suggested reducing batter readiness time and enforcing penalties to speed up play.
