Ohio community seeks to buy 850 acres to create public forest link

In Southeast Ohio, local stakeholders are actively pursuing the acquisition of former coal land to establish a new community forest aimed at linking Wayne National Forest with Strouds Run State Park. The envisioned Sugar Creek Community Forest will not only provide public access and recreational options, but also promote regenerative conservation and stimulate economic growth within the area.
