Ordered phone, received soap instead, customer wins Rs 20,574 against Flipkart

A customer ordered a mobile phone from Flipkart but received bars of soap instead. Despite multiple complaints and a video proof, Flipkart did not resolve the issue satisfactorily. The Delhi consumer commission found Flipkart guilty of deficiency in service and unfair trade practice. Flipkart was directed to pay the customer Rs 10,574 along with compensation for mental harassment and litigation expenses.
