Planning a large building? Centre proposes mandatory energy star ratings before completion

New buildings will soon require energy performance ratings. The government proposes a mandatory star rating system for large structures. Owners must register and submit compliance documents to the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. A provisional certificate will be issued after initial review. Final ratings will be provided within thirty days of submission.
