PMAY-U 2.0 nears 20 lakh homes as Centre approves 29,000 more houses

The Centre government has given the green light for 29,000 more houses under PMAY-U 2.0, boosting the total to 18.77 lakh. This approval encompasses six states and includes projects under both BLC and AHP categories. A remarkable aspect of this initiative is that 92 percent of the homes are allocated to women, as it aims to support economically weaker and low-income groups in accessing affordable housing.
