‘Private media entity organising it’: Govt says ‘no role’ in Sheikh Hasina’s proposed August 5 event

The MEA stated no government involvement in a private media event. The proposed forum concerns former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh sought clarification from India regarding its support for the event. Hasina resigned in August 2024 and has been living in Delhi. She faces a death sentence for crimes against humanity.
