RITES: Double-decker flyover undercuts Bengaluru Metro gains

Engineering consultancy RITES has flagged issues with Bengaluru’s proposed double-decker flyover. The report suggests this plan could undermine the Metro’s purpose and encourage private vehicle use. Building the structure may also present significant engineering and operational challenges for the city. This proposal runs contrary to national policies promoting sustainable urban mobility. The Karnataka government will now decide the project’s future course.
