Russia rejects second plague scare as WHO demands answers over Siberian lab deaths

In response to concerns over a second suspected plague case linked to a worker’s death, Russia has denied these allegations. The World Health Organization is looking for more details on the illness that led to the worker’s pneumonia. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov denounced many media reports as false. Health officials assure the public that there is no epidemic threat while WHO seeks more information to evaluate health risks.
