Samajwadi leader Azam Khan jailed over 2019 ‘tankhaiyya’ remarks

Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan has been sentenced to two years of simple imprisonment and fined Rs 5,000 in Rampur for making derogatory remarks against district administration officials during the 2019 Lok Sabha election campaign. The conviction was based on eyewitness testimony and video footage presented in court.
