San Antonio’s former Air Force base expands after creating 3,000 jobs

San Antonio’s Brooks Development Authority is expanding beyond the former 1,308-acre Air Force base it has redeveloped since 2002. It will take control of 243 vacant acres along Southton Road and prepare the site with roads and utilities. The move aims to attract major employers and extend development across the city’s Southeast Side.
