Scientists find eggshells make clay bricks reduce energy consumption by blocking heat

Researchers in Egypt tested fired clay bricks made with eggshell waste. Adding ten percent eggshell powder significantly reduced heat transfer through the material. This process created internal pores, improving the bricks’ insulation performance. The study found that eggshell waste can be recycled instead of sent to landfills. This innovation offers a useful purpose for waste while reducing raw material needs.
