‘Screams, sudden death’: 16-year-old girl’s body exhumed 52 days after burial in UP

A 16-year-old girl’s body was exhumed fifty-two days after her burial in Aligarh. Suspicious circumstances surrounding her death prompted the district administration to order a fresh investigation. A local resident alleged hearing screams and later learned of the girl’s sudden death. Following his complaint and death threat claims, authorities ordered the exhumation for examination. The body has now been sent for a post-mortem as police begin their detailed inquiry.
