She expected isolation in remote Alaska but found internet and Amazon deliveries

A 23-year-old woman who moved to a remote Alaskan island expected limited access to basic necessities, poor internet and difficult travel. Instead, she found grocery stores, coffee shops, reliable internet, Amazon deliveries and regular flights. While travel takes more planning and deliveries can take weeks, she has maintained her career, supported local businesses and embraced outdoor activities.
