‘Sold to street vendors at Rs 20/litre’: UP factory sealed for making adulterated tomato sauce

A food manufacturing unit in Hapur was sealed after a raid uncovered the production of tomato sauce under unhygienic conditions using vegetable pulp, acid, and banned synthetic colours. Officials seized nearly 200 litres of adulterated sauce, allegedly sold cheaply to local eateries and street vendors.
