Suicide blast at Pakistan police compound: Death toll mounts to 31

The attack took place on Friday when an explosives-packed car was driven into the police facility as officers and their families were praying at a mosque inside the compound. Around 80 people, mostly police personnel, were taken to hospital after the blast. Several injured people were in critical condition, raising fears that the death toll could increase. The number of civilian casualties was not immediately known.
