The silver medal Koneru Humpy’s 9-year-old daughter will remember as gold

Humpy’s nine-year-old daughter Ahana witnessed her mother play live for the first time as APL Pipers lost the GCL final to Ganges Grandmasters. While Humpy was left disappointed with silver, Ahana celebrated from the front row, seeing only the joy of her mother competing and receiving a medal. For her, the silver felt every bit like gold.
