Toll plazas to go cashless from April 10; cash payments to be completely scrapped

National highways will cease accepting cash payments at toll plazas from April 10, transitioning to a fully digital system. This move by the NHAI aims to enhance efficiency and reduce congestion by exclusively using FASTag and UPI. Concurrently, toll rates on national highways and expressways in Uttar Pradesh have seen a slight increase, affecting various vehicle types.
