UK radio station falsely announces King Charles’ death, breaches standards

King Charles’ death was mistakenly announced on UK radio station Radio Caroline after a staff member accidentally aired pre-recorded statements prepared for such an event. The broadcast included the national anthem and 16 minutes of silence before regular programming resumed. Ofcom ruled that the station breached broadcast standards over the inaccurate report and delayed correction.
