‘Unfair’: Canada suspends trade talks with US, PM Carney says will match tariffs ‘dollar for dollar’

In response to unfair trade terms imposed by the United States, Canada has decided to suspend its trade negotiations. With significant tariffs on Canadian imports set to take effect at midnight, Prime Minister Carney announced that Canada will retaliate with equivalent tariffs.
