US embassy creates $750 ‘fast pass’ for business and tourist visa interviews

Starting July 1, 2026, the US State Department will pilot a new service allowing B1/B2 visa applicants to pay $750 for an expedited interview appointment. This temporary program aims to assess demand for expedited services and reduce strain on consular resources. While offering faster scheduling, it does not guarantee visa issuance or expedite administrative processing.
