Use of drugs serious concern, act on it quickly, AAIB to DGCA on AI Phuket-Delhi flight interim report

An Air India flight experienced severe turbulence and multiple hydraulic failures. The pilot-in-command tested positive for a psychoactive substance after the incident. This led to an interim safety recommendation from the AAIB to the DGCA. The aircraft suffered significant cabin damage during the extreme turbulence event. Investigations into the technical causes of the hydraulic failure are still ongoing.
