‘Vague apprehension of discrimination’: SC dismisses plea challenging home ministry circular on Vande Mataram

The Supreme Court refused to hear a plea challenging a home ministry circular on singing ‘Vande Mataram’ at official events. The court stated the directive is not mandatory, calling the petition premature and based on a vague apprehension of discrimination. It advised the petitioner to approach the court if any action is taken against him in the future.
