‘Very cute’: US President Donald Trump welcomes new $1 coin with his face on it

A new US dollar coin will feature President Donald Trump for America’s 250th birthday. This commemorative coin is scheduled for release in the autumn of 2026. The design includes Trump’s image and traditional American symbols on both sides. Critics raised concerns about this move conflicting with an 1866 law. The Treasury Department stated the coin is legal under a 2020 act.
