Watch: Gaganyaan parachute system in action as Isro tests crew module’s safe splashdown

ISRO successfully conducted a key qualification test for Gaganyaan’s main parachute system. This test validated the parachute’s structural integrity under maximum expected load conditions. A simulated assembly was dropped from an aircraft to test the system’s performance. This marks the fifth integrated main parachute airdrop test for the mission. The successful test provides confidence in the parachute system for the upcoming uncrewed mission.
