Why India is planning Namo Cities—and what they could mean for Delhi-NCR

India is embarking on a massive urban transformation, planning to build new cities around high-speed transit to accommodate a projected population surge in the National Capital Region. These “Namo Cities,” part of Regional Plan-2041, will be developed as Transit-Oriented Developments, integrating housing, jobs, and services around Namo Bharat RRTS stations.
