Vijay Kumar Sharma becomes government teacher at 59 after clearing TGT, PGT

At 59, Uttar Pradesh resident Vijay Kumar Sharma has achieved his long-held dream of becoming a government teacher after 27 years of attempts. Sharma, who cleared TGT written examinations six times and PGT exams four times but missed final selection, has been appointed as a Sanskrit TGT at Ailum Inter College in Shamli. His 28-year-old daughter Mamta also cleared the recruitment examination and is currently on the waiting list. Sharma is expected to serve until retirement at 62.
