In 2014, the removal of Harvell Dam revitalized over 120 miles of river, providing essential upstream habitats for migratory fish. Observations from state biologists and anglers confirmed fish migrating upstream post-demolition. This collaborative restoration project united various agencies and organizations, successfully restoring the river’s free-flowing state and enhancing benefits for both aquatic life and recreational activities.
