Andhra horror: Butcher slits friend’s throat, dumps her dismembered body in lake

Kalyani was allegedly killed by Shafi, a butcher, after a quarrel over money on September 17. Following the murder, Shafi supposedly dismembered her body and disposed of the parts in a canal. Police were able to identify Kalyani through a tattoo that her relatives recognized from social media postings. Investigators have detained Shafi and his accomplice, Guruvulu, for questioning about their roles in the incident.
