Bank credit growth nearly doubles to 19.1% in July as lending picks up across sectors

The month of July 2026 witnessed a remarkable surge in non-food bank credit. Lending to various sectors, particularly services, industry, and agriculture, experienced significant growth. In particular, the growth in services credit was more than double that of the previous year, while industry lending also showed notable improvements. Additionally, personal loans peaked with impressive overall growth rates.
