China is currently testing an innovative uncrewed trimaran submarine that boasts an arsenal of missiles, designed to significantly strengthen its military presence against US naval forces in the Indo-Pacific. This submarine could possess between 16 and 18 of China’s cutting-edge YJ-20 hypersonic anti-ship missiles. Its tactics may feature submerging before launching surprise missile strikes on enemy ships, presenting serious implications for US Navy strategic operations.
