Couple accidentally won 1830s house for $460,000; spent $300,000 restoring it

A Pennsylvania couple, Tyler and Lauren Bouldin, bought an abandoned stone house at an auction for $460,000. They faced numerous challenges during renovations, including structural issues and rising costs due to the pandemic. The couple decided to shift their approach to reuse materials and take on more work themselves. After about five years of work, the renovations are approximately 85% complete, although challenges remain.
