Customer returned sunglasses but refund was denied, consumer court awards Rs 27,839

A district consumer commission in Telangana recently ordered an online marketplace to refund Rs 17,839 to a customer. The refund was due after the customer returned a pair of sunglasses, which were allegedly deemed unsatisfactory. The company denied the refund, claiming the product failed a quality check following its return. However, the commission found insufficient evidence to support the company’s claim of damage.
