Data centre bigger than 100 football pitches faces 1,600 objections in Scotland

Residents of Auchtertool, Fife, are fighting plans for the world’s second-largest data centre, which would cover more than 100 football pitches beside their 200-home village. More than 1,600 objections have been lodged, while locals fear the vast development could transform their quiet rural community and bring concerns over noise, heat, flooding and wildlife.
